A large number of athletes train under broad group programs that focus on some form of strength and conditioning, with zero attention to the individualised needs of the athlete. These conventional approaches to Athletic Development are ineffective to helping you reach your goals as they increase your risk to injury and decrease your conditioning and athletic resilience.

Our philosophy at The Movement Standard around Athletic Development focuses on the relationship between your ability to load well and live well. We create personalised, science-based programs for athletes of all levels that target your personal weaknesses (specific to your sport) to enhance your peak condition, with a large focus on your current training and capacity.

Our trainers have personal experience with training in high levels of sport, so you can be sure that we know how to push the boundaries safely and effectively. We incorporate signature strength and conditioning programs with injury avoidance and management advice, as well as ongoing support and whole body strength so that you enjoy staying active and achieve your athletic potential with ease.

Sports Therapy Strategies

Sports Therapy is concerned with the identification, treatment, rehabilitation and prevention of injury to the body, specific to any kind of dysfunction gained from sport. The main goal of Sports Therapy is to get our clients to return to optimum levels of functional, occupational and sports specific fitness, regardless of your chosen sport or your athletic ability.  

Our team of Exercise Physiologists, Physiotherapists and Dieticians work closely with athletes to develop effective strategies to ensure they stay in their chosen sport for as long as possible. As athletes ourselves, we understand that achieving personal goals are important. So, we use a multidisciplinary approach to ensure that your individualised treatment is in line with your objectives and will help you recover successfully to prevent any further issues.
