Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy is a form of hands-on, exercise-based treatment designed to assess, diagnose, treat, manage and prevent a wide range of impairments, health conditions and movement deficiencies.
With an overall goal to restore functional mobility and quality of life, our experienced and qualified Physiotherapists use advanced technologies & techniques to ensure you reach your wellness goal, without fear of falling back into old habits.
The Physiotherapists at The Movement Standard use individualised assessments and a multidisciplinary approach to help patients recognise potential areas of improvement, no matter how big or small your goal is. Using pre and post assessments to produce tailor-made treatment plans, we ensure you get the most effect treatment possible, suited to your body’s unique needs and abilities.
Ongoing rehabilitation support guarantees that you will move better, feel better and get more out of life.

What to Expect at Your First Appointment
You do not need a referral to see a Physiotherapist. Our Physiotherapists are fully qualified to diagnose, treat and refer you to any additional services they recommend upon completing your assessment.
Your first consultation will take 60minutes, giving your Physiotherapist time to listen, discuss, investigate and create a plan of attack for your care. Your Physiotherapist will require information about pre-existing medical conditions, your medical and exercise history, your lifestyle and work.
Your Physio will conduct a detailed musculoskeletal assessment and then outline the unique approach required for your care. Some treatment options may include a combination of home exercises, dry needling/acupuncture, Reformer Pilates or Remedial Massage.
